Microsoft Announcements: 5% Premium for Annual commit, Monthly billing subscriptions across all Microsoft channels

Starting April 1, 2025, Microsoft is set to introduce a 5% price increase for all per-user annual commit, monthly billed subscriptions across all channels, including Buy Online, Cloud Solution Provider (CSP), and Microsoft Customer Agreement for Enterprises (MCA-E).
From this date onwards, new and renewing annual commit, monthly billed subscriptions will cost 5% more than annual commit upfront payment subscriptions.
This price increase applies to all customer segments (Commercial, Academic and Non-Profit) and to customers with approval for annual commit monthly billing through Virtual Graffiti.
If preferred, customers may select to change their billing plan from monthly to annual billing with upfront payment, priced 5% lower than the updated monthly billing option, at their renewal date.
Please note there may be slight variations in price due to exchange rate fluctuations, local pricing policies, and rounding rules.
The above price increase applies to triennial term subscriptions as well. No changes are expected for Monthly term Monthly billed subscriptions pricing as part of this update.
Updating Pricing for Teams Phone and Power BI
Effective April 1, 2025, prices for Microsoft Teams Phone Standard, Power BI Pro, and Power BI Premium Per User will increase for commercial customers for their new and renewing subscriptions. E5 subscriptions remain unaffected. Education and NFP customers are not affected.

Business Premium customers can now enhance their security by purchasing the Microsoft 365 E5 Security suite. The suite delivers added protection with Microsoft Entra ID Plan 2, Microsoft Defender for Identity, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Plan 2, Microsoft Defender for Office 365 Plan 2, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps.
