Imperva Simplifies Web Application Firewall Deployment on Microsoft Azure to Protect Enterprise Apps in the Cloud

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., July 19, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Imperva, Inc. (NYSE:IMPV), committed to protecting business-critical data and applications in the cloud and on-premises, today announced the general availability of the Imperva SecureSphere Deployment Kit for the new Microsoft Azure Security Center. This solution expands Imperva support for the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, which already includes Imperva SecureSphere Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Database Activity Monitoring Agents. With the SecureSphere Deployment Kit for Azure Security Center, it’s even easier for customers to bring enterprise-grade application security to the cloud and ensure their overall security posture.

Microsoft Azure Security Center is designed to help Azure customers prevent, detect and respond to threats with increased visibility and control over the security of all their Azure resources. For enterprises that deploy mission-critical applications in the cloud, Azure Security Center and the SecureSphere Deployment Kit help automate the deployment of the market-leading SecureSphere Web Application Firewall to protect applications from cyber-attacks. As companies move their applications and data to the cloud, securing those valuable assets from web attacks, data theft and failed audits becomes a heightened organizational priority. Failure to deploy, or improper deployment of, proper security solutions could counteract the cost-savings benefit of the cloud migration—replaced instead with expensive breach investigations, downtime and lawsuits.

The SecureSphere Deployment Kit is an update to the SecureSphere WAF for Azure product that streamlines provisioning and monitoring of multiple WAFs to help secure a large application environment hosted on Azure. It makes it easy to deploy enterprise-grade SecureSphere solutions from Imperva to rapidly monitor and secure applications on Azure. The new solution:
